TEDI (Trade Electronic Data Interchange) from Japan

The Trade Electronic Data Interchange (TEDI) was founded with the support of Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The system was designed with the aim of achieving greatly enhanced efficiency and reduced costs in trade practices through the computerization of trade-related documents and use of the Internet. Japan Electronic Trade service, Inc, (JETS) was established to ensure the smooth functioning of the T.E.D.I. system, JETS works to prevent any risks which may accompany the conversion of various trade documents into digital data, and by managing and operating the T.E.D.I system while maintaining the utmost concern for security, JETS is contributing to the further development and expansion of the trade industry.
