Chiang Mai, Thailand, 4 December 2009 – CAT Telecom, the Thailand member of the Pan Asian e-Commerce Alliance (PAA) hosted the 33rd Steering Committee meeting in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 3rd to 4th December 2009.
At the meeting, it was announced that the PAA secure cross border trade transaction services has achieved a record 22 projects in production for the period ended October 2009.
[more ...]Bali, 14 August 2009 - The Pan Asian e-Commerce Alliance (PAA) held its 32nd Steering Committee meeting in Bali, Indonesia, from 13 to 14 August 2009. This is the first time the PAA Steering Committee meeting was held in Indonesia.
During the meeting, the Steering Committee noted PAA’s achievements as follows:
• year-on-year growth of 30% in transaction volume;
• introduction and expansion of cross border services, including Electronic Certificate of Origin, Advanced Manifest and Cargo Tracking services; and
• increasing recognition of PAA’s work by international organizations such as ASEAN, APEC and AFACT.
The Pan Asian e-Commerce Alliance (PAA) held its 31st Steering Committee meeting in Yi-Lan, Chinese Taipei from 21-24 April 2009.
The Steering Committee welcomed the efforts of the members in recruiting new customers into the usage of PAA Services. The Work Group has reported a 40% growth of the transaction volume of the PAA secure cross border services in the last three months. These new customers come from Korea Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia and Philippines.

The Steering Committee welcomed the continued growth in PAA transaction services over the past 12 months. Moreover under its well established framework, PAA has continued to make progress in the development of its cross border electronic Certificate of Origin service. A pilot has commenced between Korea and Chinese Taipei, to be followed by other PAA members.

This total is from the period of March 2008 until July 2008.

Mr Amiruddin Abdul Aziz, the Chairman of the PAA, welcomed NACCS Center as a new member and appreciated the forward thinking process of the Japanese Government in making this move.
