Netrust was established in May 1997 as the first Certification Authority (CA) in Southeast Asia. A joint venture between Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation (Keppel T&T) and Network for Electronic Transfers (Singapore) Pte Ltd (NETS), Netrust provides individuals, businesses and government organisations with a complete online identification and security infrastructure to enable secure electronic transactions via the Internet and other wireless media.

In its capacity as a Certification Authority (CA), Netrust acts as a trusted third party (TTP) that issues and manages digital certificates. Netrust maintains a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certification service and in its CA role creates and signs X.509 digital certificates which bind individuals, organisations and application servers with the particular public key of each subscriber.

Netrust's PKI provides a secure environment where faceless electronic transactions can take place with trust on the Internet, Intranet and on wireless networks. It issues to participants of this environment, digital certificates - which are equivalent to electronic IDs - that give online identities to individuals, organisations and application servers. Netrust's digital certificates can be issued globally and provide complete online identification and security for secure electronic transactions. Company History:
To facilitate certificate authentication for e-services in the securities, finance, insurance and commerce industries, TAIWAN-CA.COM Inc.(TaiCA), under the agreement of the Ministry of Finance, was organized and established on Dec. 17, 1999. There are four major shareholders including Taiwan Stock Exchange Cooperation, The Financial Information Service Co., The Tradevan Information Service Co., and Taiwan Securities Central Depository Co. These four shareholders contributed 80% of the total capital of 250 million NT Dollars. The remaining 20% in shares were invested in by eight excellent information technology companies. On March 21, 2000, TaiCA issued and published the "Certificate Practice Statement," which specified the practices and standards as TaiCA issues certificates.

Digi-Sign Certification Services Limited has taken over from Tradelink Electronic Commerce Limited the function as a Certification Authority to provide services relating to the issuance of digital certificates in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Digi-Sign establishes its service framework consistent with the provisions of the Electronic Transactions Ordinance (Cap. 553) applicable to a recognized certification authority. The standard of practices adopted by Digi-Sign is in compliance with the Code of Practices for Recognized Certification Authority issued by Director of Information Technology Services of the Government of the HKSAR. The company was incorporated in the Hong Kong SAR in October 2000, and it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tradelink Electronic Commerce Limited. Digi-Sign's mission is to service its customers, business partners, the Government of the HKSAR and the business community, contributing to their endeavours and success through proactive participation in secure electronic commerce. As a Recognized Certification Authority undertaking a "trusted role", Digi-Sign aims to carry out its certification services operation with efficiency, impartiality and integrity. TradeSign is a Certification Authority which carrying out by KTNET(Korea Trade Network). KTNET specializes in e-TRADE services through the internet and provide various trade-related services including finding client, customs clearance, logistics and settlement. Since the commencement of operation of this company by KTNET in 1991, the cost of both time and expenses necessary for trade procedures has remarkably reduced. KTNET provides international trade automation services using the EDI system.

TradeSign is the Certification Authority Center which was established according to KTNET's experience for e-TRADE and technical know-how. TradeSign is specialized in e-TRADE business related to Digital Signature Act and Electronic Transaction Act. Therefore, TradeSign bring trust to e-TRADE service by issuing the Digital Certificate which authenticate identification of user, assure the integrity of messages.

2.  CTB(Cyber Trade Bank)
CTB is a internet service of CTW(Cyber Trade World) which is a portal service for e-TRADE. CTB provide electronic payment solution for trade community at the trade procedure. CTB is implemented with double encryption and certificate roaming. CTB service connected to KEB(Korea Exchange Bank) which is responsible for payment cleaing.

3.  BaroEFT
BaroEFT is an electronic settlement service that Intellectual Property agencies pay the handling charge to KIPO(Korean Intellectual Property Office). Digital Certificate identifies users, and the payment messages are secured.

Beijing Guo Fu An Security Electronic Commerce CA Co., Ltd., the "Certification Authority" of China International Electronic Commerce Center (CIECC) was launched in 1998. It operates and maintains the "Certification Authority System", based on the CIECC's "Electronic Commerce Information Authentication System", one of the National Key Projects of Science and Technology.

Technically authenticated by both the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Cryptogram Administrative Committee, the "Electronic Commerce Information Authentication System" is the first self-developed certification system authenticated and copyrighted in Mainland China.
